TORTURED POETS YOGA NIGHT Friday, May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Disko Lemonade Yoga. Sport your favorite black & white yoga attire and join! The class will follow a warm disko flow format with plenty of modifications offered for new yogis – don’t worry, you can do this class with a broken heart. PENSACOLA CHILDREN’S CHORUS SHOWTIME Friday and Saturday, May 10 & 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre. This wonderful organization led by Alex Gartner teaches music and performance to elementary school children through high school. Showtime is a fun show to watch and a great way to spend the evening. 2ND ANNUAL GROOVY VW FESTIVAL Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. The Groovy VW festival Shine and Swap is this weekend. There will be a contest for People’s Choice and an award for the ‘Grateful Deadliest’ theme! Participants will receive goodie bags, and booths will have tie-dye crafts and friendship bracelet/ necklace making. There is a Grateful Dead trivia contest! PENSACOLA CELEBRATES GALVEZ Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at the Pensacola Historic Village. The event will feature Spanish soldiers and colonial activities like cooking, games, and candle dipping.
PENSACOLA BEACH ART & WINE FESTIVAL Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with wine tastings beginning at 1 p.m. The Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce invites the public to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon strolling the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk, enjoying Mother’s Day weekend while sampling wines and perusing the works of some of the Gulf Coast’s most talented artists. The festival brings together 25 local artists and more than 50 wine selections, all in one place. The festival is free to the public, however, to participate in the wine tastings festival-goers must purchase a ticket and receive a wristband. WINE TASTING TICKETS
