JOHN HART & THE PRINCE BROTHERS Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m. at The Burrow. This free show is part of The Burrow’s First Fridays in the Biergarten. John Hart (Guitar & Vocals) joins with brothers, Andy Prince (Bass & Vocals) and Matt Prince (Drum & Vocals) for a spectacular musical performance. BALLET PENSACOLA PRESENTS THE SLEEPING BEAUTY Friday, May 3 – Sunday, May 5 at times listed in the link below. There will be a VIP event on Saturday, May 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Experience an exclusive insider’s view of Ballet Pensacola during The Sleeping Beauty VIP event! Indulge in gourmet creations by Chef Laura from the Italian Wooden Spoon and enjoy an exclusive backstage tour of the show. COWBOY BAND BENEFIT CONCERT FOR PSO Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m. at The Handlebar. Join Cowboy Park Band (formerly DLP), for a benefit concert for Pensacola Symphony Orchestra’s Beyond the Stage education and community engagement program. The band features Jared Moore, vocals and guitar; Sidney Rosenthal, guitar; David Stafford, drums; Charlie Wiggins, bass; and Jack Zoesch, keys and vocals. BURGER BATTLE BY THE BAY Saturday, May 4 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Community Maritime Park. Attendees can taste samples of burgers made by professional and amateur cook teams and vote for their favorite amateur team! Proceeds benefit the community service projects of the Pensacola SubWest Rotary Foundation and the Cordova Rotary Club. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at gate. Kids under 12 are admitted free with a paying adult. Every paid admission includes a bottle of water. Additional soft drinks will be for sale. More here: Burger Battle Tickets

GULF BREEZE SPRINGFEST Saturday, May 4 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center. The day’s event will consist of fun activities and events, such as laser tag, bounce houses, archery, animal exhibits, over 100 vendors including food trucks, beer wagon, local artists, concessions, and much more! Live entertainment throughout the day featuring local bands that lead up to the final band. The grand finale at 8:00 pm is a FABULOUS fireworks show.

150TH KENTUCKY DERBY SOIRÉE Saturday, May 4 from 2 – 6 p.m. at Old Hickory Whiskey Bar. It’s the South’s favorite day for bourbon, horses, & fashion at Old Hickory on May 4th, starting at 2:00 PM. They’ll be crushing ice for Mint Juleps & cocktails. Race post time is 5:57 p.m.

CINCO DE MAYO CARNAVAL Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5 at 11 a.m. each day. Their VERY FIRST TACO EATING CONTEST AT 3 p.m. Register 1 hour before or come by the restaurant to register and pay the $15 entry fee. $50 cash prize, T-shirt, and TrophyMexican Carnival with games, prices, and street food like street corn and popcorn! The Tiki Bar will be open. Face painting and much more! This is such a fun way to celebrate this festive holiday!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, May 5 at 2:30 p.m. at the Gordon Community Center. This event by the Neighborhood Children’s Theater is based on the classic by Lewis Carroll, but adapted by William Glennon. A group of performers seeks out Alice to provide “her turn” in Wonderland. THE WILDER BLUE, THE NEW CAHOOTS, SNAKE & THE RABBIT Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at The Handlebar. The Wilder Blue began in 2019 when Zane Williams, already a seasoned troubadour with seven solo albums under his belt, pulled together a select group of multi-talented musicians from the Texas music scene. Their debut album Hill Country (2020) and its follow-up The Wilder Blue (2022) garnered comparisons to early Eagles and 80’s-era Alabama by interweaving five-part harmonies with bluegrassy arrangements of folk-rock and country songs.

STILL STANDING ELTON JOHN TRIBUTE Sunday, May 5 at 6 p.m. at Community Maritime Park. STILL STANDING has been performing the modern visual and musical Elton John experience since 2013, bringing all the timeless classics to your venue with the attention to detail that his music deserves. Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Ben “Almost Elton” Frey has been referred to as the closest representation of the modern Elton’s look and vocals on the Tribute Circuit. This event is brought to you by Blues on the Bay. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks!
