Kia AutoSport of Pensacola Celebrates 25 Years with a kickoff event on Saturday, April 20 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the dealership located at 6637 Pensacola Boulevard. The event will be a carnival-style celebration for the entire family with bounce houses, food trucks, sweet treats, prizes, and more.

Kia AutoSport of Pensacola was founded in 1999 by Monroe Lee. Monroe founded a Kia dealership in Tallahassee before expanding to Pensacola and Columbus, Georgia. His daughter, Jessica, started working at the dealership in Tallahassee as a teenager and moved to Pensacola in 1999 to work in the office at the new location. After working in every area of the dealership, Jessica earned the role of General Manager several years later, then purchased the dealership from her father another handful of years after assuming the GM role.

Currently, 75 people are employed by Kia AutoSport in sales, financing, service, parts, and administration.

In a nod to the philanthropic tradition started by her parents, Jessica created the Kia Cares in the Community. The initiative was started to bring awareness and support to nonprofits and organizations in the local community.

This year, Kia Cares in the Community has recognized and supported Favor House, Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, Nonie’s Place of Covenant Hospice, Children’s Home Society, and the FamiliesFirst Network by showcasing them on Kia social media and in the dealership showroom in hopes to bring awareness to, collect donations for, and raise funds in support of their missions.

Kia AutoSport of Pensacola is also a proud supporter of the military and military families, serving as the headline sponsor of the Naval Air Station Pensacola Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show each fall. Kia AutoSport and the Lee family have a long history of supporting many organizations in the community, including the Baptist Hospital Foundation, the Escambia County Sheriff Foundation, and many other organizations and events.

In celebration of 25 years in business, Kia AutoSport of Pensacola will hold prize drawings for new car buyers, service customers, and VIP appointments for the remainder of the year.
