Take Me To A Quiet Place

As I sit quietly,

Taking a moment to get clear,

I look around;

I see order and grace.

I feel God is near.

.

.

Something tells me,

Time and space in nature,

Time with God,

Is designed to anchor us,

Exactly where we are called.

.

.

Jesus took time to step away,

To find stillness in the big waves.

.

.

My spirit feels seen,

In this quiet place.

I find peace and ease here.

The holy moments available to us everyday.

.

.

My understanding deepens,

And where understanding lacks,

I know His hands will pick up the slack.

.

.

We are called to love one another,

To leave the earth more restored than when we came.

Growing relationships, vegetables, and smelling flowers;

The simple God given blessings that help us stay sane.

.

.

Relationships reveal truth,

The garden teaches lessons,

The flowers do too.

God speaks louder in the raw places;

Through the roots, the pruning, and the weed pulling too.

.

.

Gods natural order of things,

Puts man made detail to shame.

It brings to light that we are hungry for control,

And most of us are too busy being addicted to “the game”.
