Local Pulse’s Weekend Top 10

It is sunny outside, the temperatures are rising, and my heart wants to explode into little palm trees and beach ball confetti! My Zyrtec disagrees, but my soul wants it to be Spring and Summer forever! It’s healing to be outside, to meet up with friends, and to do things that bring us joy.


Let’s see what’s on slate for this weekend, y’all! We got a list of paintin’, cahootin’, runnin’, and Easterin’…check it out!

ART WITH ELLEN Y’all, this is such a fun, affordable idea and it’s going on right now and this weekend! For $15, you can complete one of Ellen’s Art Kits in her studio. ICE FLYERS FAN FRIDAY Friday, March 29 at 7 p.m. versus Evansville Thunderbolts. This will be the last Friday night Ice Flyers game of the season; the theme is decided by the Ice Flyers fans. THE MOLLY RINGWALDS Friday, March 29 at 8:30 p.m. at Seville Quarter. This band is SO FUN. If you love 80s music and energy, you’ll love The Molly Ringwalds! From their website: “The Molly Ringwalds’ show is loaded with the visual enormity and glam that encompassed the essence of the decade’s music scene.” Every time they come to Pensacola, it’s a packed house! BAYOU HILLS 5K/10K RUN Saturday, March 30 at 7 a.m. This is one of Pensacola’s oldest running events. In addition to awards stating “Pensacola City Championships”, the overall male and female winners for both the 5k and 10k will be welcomed and recognized at a city council meeting following the race. All proceeds benefit Creative Learning Academy and Pensacola Sports. To register, click here: Bayou Hills Race

PALAFOX EASTER MARKET Saturday, March 30 at 9:00 a.m. at Palafox Market in two locations at and around MLK Square and Plaza Ferdinand, both on Palafox. See the Easter Bunny from 10-11:30 a.m. at Palafox Market North (MLK Plaza) and 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Palafox Market South (Plaza Ferdinand)! They’ll have candy and Easter eggs at both locations while they last. Face painting, free trolley, and 250+ growers, makers, artists, and local vendors.

EGGA-WAHOOZA Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Blue Wahoos Stadium. With over 50,000 eggs, this is a safe hunt for kids of all ages. They will have specific areas for kids with special needs, 0-2 years old, 3-4 years old, K5-1st Grade, 2nd – 3rd Grade, and 4th – 5th Grade. Registration is needed: Egga-Wahooza

SMALL GROUP SLOW RIDE Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. Ride a loop around downtown and along the waterfront. After the Ride, there is an optional gathering at a food truck one block away, where you can have coffee/tea and a snack in a cozy courtyard setting. The pace will be about 6 mph, typical of one of the larger Slow Rides.

Ride Squad members will assist the Ride but we will not have a police escort. Honor all traffic laws. The ride starting point is listed in the Eventbrite registration here: Small Group Slow Ride
HOOT N HOLLER WITH THE NEW CAHOOTS Saturday, March 30 at 5 p.m. at Alga Beer Co. The New Cahoots is an acoustic/electric group led by Michael Garcia & based out of Pensacola. The band, formed in 2020, has written a wide variety of original music from a blend of bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Performances include a diverse catalog of originals and covers ranging from traditional bluegrass, folk, jam bands & rock and roll. Brown Bagger will be on-site serving up some tasty burgers with a special Hoot & Holler Sauce.

GLOW EASTER EGG HUNT Sunday, March 31 at Glow Paddle. Times vary. Join us for a unique Easter celebration at Glow Paddle!  Experience the magic of a glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt like never before. Hop into one of the illuminated kayaks and embark on an adventure to find glowing Easter eggs. Sessions are available at 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM, and 10:30 PM. BLUE LEVEE BAND Saturday, March 30 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Paradise Bar & Grill on Pensacola Beach. This local three-piece band comprised of Jaron Kiger (bass), Andre Heard (drums), and Noah Desimone (vocals and guitar), plays a unique blend of blues forged by each member’s eclectic influences. Dana is an Arkansas native and a seasonal resident of the Gulf Coast since childhood. She was a Pensacola resident for 13 years, before moving to Gulf Breeze.
