A Call To All Lovers of Art!

Art has a way of captivating those who come in contact with it. Age is not a factor when it comes to experiencing a handmade masterpiece. These days, technology tries to steal our ability to slow down and observe the talent that is spread around us. Luckily, our area seems to bloom with local artists, craft markets, art shows, and more throughout the year. For this, we are grateful.

With that said, we are here to remind you about two of our favorite art shows happening this weekend!

Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts Festival

The city of Gulf Breeze and Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc. is proud to host the 28th Annual Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts Festival.

When: March 23 & 24

Where: *New Location* Gulf Breeze Community Center , FL

This two-day event is a staple for the city of Gulf Breeze, a beautiful little city located between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. The festival hosts 100+ local, regional, and national fine artists and food vendors. There will be a Local Artists’ Art Show, a Silent Auction, as well as live artist demonstrations, and children’s activities.

Gulf Breeze Arts, Inc. prides itself in donating the proceeds of the GBAF to local school art enhancement programs to help with supplies and projects, as well as an endowed scholarship fund at Pensacola State College. Funds have also been donated to the Band, Drama, Choral, and JROTC programs. As of 2023, GBAI has donated over $145,000.

Waterboyz Skateboard Art Show

Art by Local Artist, Dan Dunn

The local surf and skate shop, Waterboyz, will host the 2024 Skateboard Art Show THIS Saturday. This family-friendly event is one you won’t want to miss!

Waterboyz is a local hub for the surf and skate community of Pensacola. Known for its indoor skate park, groovy cafe, and renowned reputation for crafting surfboards, the shop is a place of community for many.

This weekend marks a special event hosted by Waterboyz in honor of the charity, First Ride.

First Ride is a nonprofit founded by Waterboyz Surf and Skate Shop with a mission to bring surf and skate to local kids in need. The shop holds fundraisers and events throughout the year benefiting First Ride. All proceeds go towards the purchase of skateboards, accessories, lessons, camps, and more for our local kids. Waterboyz partners with organizations like the Gulf Coast Kids House during the holidays to provide gifts to children with an interest in surfing and skating.
