Local Pulse’s Weekend Top 10

White Tied Quartet will be performing Saturday and Sunday at Pensacon.

Wow, the weather has been absolute perfection and it is supposed to continue through the weekend. We are giddy with excitement!!

I typically make this list in chronological order, but I’m gonna pin this one to the top as a high priority:

SHAKA BAR BBQ PARTY ON THE BEACH FOR CHILD CANCER RESEARCH This is a cause near and dear to my heart and it needs all the support we can give. First of all, it’s the seasonal reopening of The Shaka Bar. Second, they will have BIG OLE BBQ sammiches for $10!

You may also contribute directly to Rally on the Runway by following this link- https://fundraise.rallyfoundation.org/fundraiser/5159474
This is an event to raise money for Rally on the Runway to benefit childhood cancer research. Only 4% of the national cancer research budget goes toward childhood cancers. This is simply woefully inadequate, and we would appreciate it if you could help us with this cause. For more on this event: SHAKA BAR BBQ PARTY

This New York Times Critics’ Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them.
