Shelter pups & pick their squeaky toy

Remember that story we shared a few weeks  back about a viral Facebook post from Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare? Well, last Friday we joined WolfGang and we’re able to distribute some of the 5,000 toys they received to some very deserving shelter pups.

All of these sweet babies are in need of a loving, furever home, and we can tell you first hand they are some of the best boys and girls that deserve all the cuddles and companionship.

As the official Online Marketing Sponsor for the 3rd Annual Pensacola Pawdi Gras, which benefits the Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare, Local Pulse is truly honored to support this organization and help find these pups the loving homes they deserve.

The Escambia County Department of Animal Welfare consists of the Animal Welfare and Adoption Center and the Animal Welfare Enforcement division. Animal Welfare works in partnership with the community to create a safe, healthy and caring environment for both citizens and animals. The division promotes citizen safety, responsible pet ownership and education in the reduction of animal overpopulation. Animal Control enforces and investigates Escambia County’s animal control ordinances and Florida state statutes in Escambia County and the City of Pensacola. They currently house over 100 shelter dogs and over 30 cats.
