The City of Milton must have purposely planned the Lumberjack Festival and the Food Truck Festival to happen on the same weekend. It is good news for us. Who doesn’t love slinging axes, plaid shirts, and good food to eat?
“The 34th annual Northwest Florida Forestry Conclave Lumberjack Festival is set for 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, near the track on Pensacola State College’s Milton campus.
The campus is at 5988 Highway 90, Milton.
The Lumberjack Festival features competitive events for adults 16 and up in categories such as Axe Throw, Bow Sawing, Grand Caber Toss, Pole Toss, Standing Chop, Knife Throw and more.
Children’s activities include face painting, games, crafts and more.
While admission to the festival is free, there is a $5 competition fee. Children, students, PSC alumni, and senior citizens can compete for free. Event registration begins at 7:30 a.m.”

Take advantage of these family fun opportunities happening in Milton this weekend! Best of luck to all the competing lumberjacks. Don’t forget to eat after you sling that axe!
