‘Tis the Season! Nutcracker season that is.
The Nutcracker ballet returns to the Pensacola Saenger Theatre this December. The family classic, presented by Ballet Pensacola and music by composer Peter Tchaikovsky, tells the story of a young girl, Clara, who together with the Nutcracker Prince, defeats the evil Mouse King. The Sugar Plum fairies host a celebration in their honor.
Let your imagination take you along with our professional dancers, and more than 100 Ballet Pensacola Academy students, who portray characters in this magnificent mainstage production accompanied by stunning costumes and lavish set design.
Artistic Director Darren McIntyre uses his well-honed, imaginative choreography skills to
bring The Nutcracker to life. Ballet Pensacola’s leading artists will delight audiences with
their artistic and technical ballet acumen. Ballet Pensacola has assembled the largest
company ever, featuring twenty professional dancers from around the world.
