We wanted to know the why behind all the hard work that goes into this organization, so we asked AMIkids Trustee Chair, Laura Branch.

AMIkids Board of Trustees

Why is AMIkids Important to you?

“The young men and women turning into young adults are truly the future! If we do not empower them with the tools to succeed, the very fabric of who we are as a community weakens. This program builds strength and power in knowledge!

Unfortunately, the data illustrates that Escambia County’s educational outcomes are projected to be poor. The evident deficiency is where AMIkids Pensacola serves to fill the void.

We meet our youth where they are in their current status academically and tailor programming individually. We equip the young adults with vocational and general educational development (GED) training in order to reach their full potential as young adults, parents, employees, and future business owners!”
