Join Bike Pensacola on September 30 at 10 a.m. for the most popular bike ride in town–the Slow Ride! Each month, explore the quiet, scenic streets of Pensacola’s many historic neighborhoods on a fun and leisurely ride among friends.
For September the lead sponsor is The Turner Team with Kuhn Realty, with co-sponsorship by Nick Redhead with Guaranteed Rate and Kevin Foster with KHN Inspections. The ride is entirely through the parks and historic homes of the East Hill neighborhood. Following the Ride, there will be a party with food by Locals Gon Greek and Waffle Boutique. And it wouldn’t be a party without Axe throwing by Grizzly Axes.
Because most cyclists are “self-taught,” each month they offer information about bicycle laws and safety tips. Bike Pensacola will address different bicycling skills that will help keep rides safe and enjoyable. The ride will be about one hour and ten minutes long, at a casual pace. Nobody will be “dropped” or left behind. Children must be at least 10 years of age to ride their own bicycle, and ages 10 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed on the Rides. Cyclists under 16 must wear a helmet by law; ages 16 and up helmets are recommended but are not required by law. Enjoy a ride escorted by officers of the Pensacola Police Department.
