5 Pensacola Waffles to Eat on National Waffle Day

Pass the syrup! We’ll welcome any occasion to indulge in an iconic breakfast treat — the waffle. Tomorrow, August 24, is National Waffle Day. While we wait here with arms wide open for tomorrow to arrive, we compiled a list of our favorite Pensacola places serving up these sweet golden brown treats.

Waffle House

Obviously! We couldn’t start our list any other way. American classic and Pensacola favorite. Having Waffle House legend Bert Thornton as one of our own secures this waffle chain to the Local Pulse Pensacola list. Even better, sign up for The Regulars Club for a free waffle tomorrow, 8/24.

Coffee Cup Restaurant

Talk about a Pensacola CLASSIC. This veteran diner has been serving up waffles, southern comfort food and old school vibes since 1945. Did you know in the 1950s you could get a breakfast plate here for .35 cents? A waffle at The Coffee Cup today will cost around $3 and is well worth it.

The Leisure Club

Never been? This is your sign to go and go on National Waffle Day. This adorable breakfast cafe located just near Pensacola Airport offers a variety of breakfast options including Vegan waffles and our favorite, waffles with blueberry & coconut whip.

Five Sisters Blues Cafe

Take one glance at their google reviews and you’ll find out that their fan favorite is the Chicken and Waffles Plate. Try their Southern Jazz Brunch for a side of live music in one of Pensacola’s most historic neighborhoods.

Taylor’s Breakfast and Lunch

Located at 7175 N. Davis Highway, this UWF student favorite has been gaining popularity since 2019. Their Strawberry Banana Waffle or Patriot Waffle is the perfect way to start your day tomorrow.

Rest up, one more sleep until its time to embark on a waffle journey of your own. Sweet dreams, literally.
