Local Pulse’s Weekend Top 10

  1. July’s Slow Ride by Bike Pensacola, Friday, July 28 from 6 – 7:15 p.m. starting at the downtown West Florida Public Library at 239 N.Spring Street. Join Bike Pensacola for the most popular bike ride in town—the Slow Ride! The ride will be about one hour and ten minutes long, at a casual pace. We will ride through parts of downtown and Belmont Devilliers this month. Following the Ride, there will be a party with food, kid’s activities, and more.
  2. Movies in the Park Series featuring Strange World (Rated PG) at Community Maritime Park, Friday, July 28 at 6 p.m. All Pre-Show Activities Begin at 6 P.M. MOVIE BEGINS AT SUNSET! Free event parking is available at Community Maritime Park and City Hall. Snack concessions from local food trucks may be available for purchase subject to availability. Picnic baskets are welcome too!
  3. Cinemas in the Sand featuring Moana, Friday, July 28, at 7:15 p.m. at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach. The Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA) invites families and friends, young and old, to unpack their beach chairs and blankets, dig their toes in the sand, and spend a Friday evening cozied up on Pensacola Beach while enjoying a FREE classic family film.
  4. Bands on the Blackwater presents Bands at the Brewhaus: Brandon Norris. Friday, July 28 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Beardless Brewhaus in Milton. Try something different and cruise on over to Milton for a little live music and great beer at Milton’s biggest brewery.
  5. The Salsa Music Festival and the Food Truck Festival Saturday, July 29 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. This free entry event is outside the biggest Salsa concert of the year in Pensacola. The concert is $25 at the door, but access to food trucks is completely free.
    This Latin and international foodie paradise boasts 14 food trucks offering an array of cuisine.
  6.  Surprise unscheduled U.S. Navy Blue Angels Practice on Friday, July 28 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Because they are unscheduled practices, the NNAM will NOT have their observation area open, but there are plenty of places to see them fly!
  7.  Learn to water ski class at Ski Watch in Milton. Saturday, July 29 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. For more information click here.
  8.  Blues Angels Blues on the Bay Concert featuring Not Quite FabSunday, July 30 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Community Maritime Park. Not Quite Fab is Northwest Florida’s only Beatles Tribute Band. Not Quite Fab is the whole Beatles experience that causes crowds to get up and dance.
  9. Pensacola Songwriter’s Round is a monthly reoccurring show at The Handlebar featuring 4 local songwriters sharing original music in a listening room environment. This month’s featured songwriters are Jessie Ritter, Justin Fobes, Corey Rezner, and Katie Dineen. Doors open at 6; show at 6:30. $5 cover at the door. The round will probably last until 8:30 pm, with a brief intermission at 7:30.
  10. America the band, Sunday, July 30 at 7 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre. America, a perennial classic-rock favorite celebrates its 53rd Anniversary this year with founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell. Tickets are still available here.
