The Arc Gateway is hosting their yearly Crab Cake Cook-Off presented by Sims Orthodontics on Wednesday, July 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seville Quarter (130 E. Government St.) in Pensacola. The event is one of Pensacola’s most iconic and well-attended fundraisers, and proceeds benefit local programs that foster community inclusion and empower those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Approximately 20 restaurants and chefs from across the region will compete for bragging rights and the title of “Best Crab Cake on the Coast.” Each cooking team brings samples of their own crab cake recipe for event attendees to taste and vote in the People’s Choice competition. A panel of judges also assesses and scores each competitor’s dish, to determine the winner of the Judges’ Choice award. Cooking team slots are very limited, but a few spots are still available. There is no entry fee for competitors.
General admission tickets are $75 and the VIP Experience is $150, which includes early admission, an exclusive VIP lounge and bar, concierge crab cake service and a signature cocktail in a commemorative cup. In addition to all you can eat crab cakes, guests will enjoy a variety of desserts while surveying an extraordinary silent auction and handcrafted art made by clients of The Arc Gateway.
