Water Pig BBQ on the Beach

If you haven’t been to Water Pig BBQ on Pensacola Beach, put it on the list. We were pleasantly surprised with the menu, as some of us were not in the mood to eat something heavy.

The Watermelon Feta salad of arugula, diced watermelon, feta, red onion, cucumber, and watermelon radish with a balsamic reduction was delicious and quite unexpected for a BBQ restaurant.

For the table, we ordered the brisket mac and cheese, which was stolen and inhaled by the youngest member of our party. We also passed the burnt ends and pork cracklings and gave two thumbs up to both.

Everyone’s meat combo plates were perfectly cooked and the BBQ pork sandwiches were amazing!

We finished off our meal with an authentic key lime pie.

The food was served by friendly staff and came out fairly quickly. However, the restaurant was not super busy for our early evening arrival.

The large open floor plan overlooking the sound is built in a way that catches the breeze and provides an expansive view of the water.

As it is adjacent to Red Fish Blue Fish, there is a shared beach down below to enjoy a beer, frozen drink, or mocktail from the bar.

I would definitely recommend visiting Water Pig BBQ for a casual waterfront dining experience. It’s the perfect place to take out-of-town guests but doesn’t feel too touristy for the locals.
