Pop-Up in the Street Today for Transportation Safety

The City of Pensacola invites the public to attend Pop-Up in the Street, an event kicking off the final stage of public engagement for the city’s Active Transportation Plan, on Monday, June 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This free community event will take place on East La Rua Street between North Tarragona Street and Hayne Street.

This event is open for the public to view draft components of the Active Transportation Plan, along with pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure demonstrations. The event will also feature local organizations, giveaways and an interactive forum to learn about the proposed future transportation network and actionable steps to achieve the goals of the plan.

The purpose of the Active Transportation Plan is to identify critical infrastructure that improves access, comfort and safety for people walking, bicycling, and using other self-propelled modes of transportation.
