Local Pulse's Weekend Top 10 for Friday, June 2, - Sunday, June 4, 2023. The Weekend Top 10 is a list of ten events happening in or near Pensacola during the coming weekend.

  1.  Juan Sebastian de Elcano Tallship in the Port of Pensacola, daily through June 3. Free tours are available at various times at the link in the title. As a training ship, the Elcano’s main mission is to cultivate seamanship among the future officers of the Spanish Navy: The Midshipmen.
  2. Grand Fiesta Parade, Friday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m. downtown Pensacola. Come catch some beads, hear the sounds of local high school marching bands, and enjoy watching beautiful floats. In addition to the dozens of local krewes parading, special appearances will be made by a masked DeLuna LXXII, his queen, and their court.
  3. Qwiet Type with special guests Brooks Hubbert, Brynnevere at Vinyl Music Hall, Saturday, June 3. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., show at 8:00 p.m. Led by Matt Powell of Pensacola, this phenomenal band will be taking the stage with an all-star lineup that includes nine incredible musicians that are some of Nashville’s most sought-after performers.
  4.  Night on the Tracks, Saturday, June 3, is an annual event presented by 309 Punk Project in partnership with the Old East Hill Neighborhood Association. The sidewalk parade begins at 4:30 p.m. with various events and live music following throughout the evening. For specifics, click here.
  5. Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years, opening June 2 – June 11 at 7:30 p.m., Pensacola Little Theatre. For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. For ticket information, click here.
  6.  Sea Turtle Baby Shower, Saturday, June 3, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., at the Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach. This free event will feature a mermaid to meet, turtle crafts, live music, sand creations by Dan in the Sand, and more. Come learn about the sea turtles of Pensacola Beach!
  7. Jon Hart Project, Friday and Saturday, June 2 & 3, 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Paradise Bar & Grill on Pensacola Beach. “Boat it, bike it, or walk it” to this waterside favorite for this locals’ favorite, open-air bar and grill and live entertainment. Florida-based artist John Hart is an acclaimed guitar player all along the East Coast and Gulf Coast.
  8. Journey to Juneteenth Beats and Eats, Sunday, June 4, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Seville Square. Beats & Eats is a community yard party celebrating culture and freedom for Juneteenth!
    There will be food trucks, a vendor marketplace, and a DJ Battle! Family-friendly and free to the public. Come on out and celebrate with us!
  9. Tyler Livingston & The Absolutes, Sunday, June 4, 3:00 p.m. at Bamboo Willie’s. A fun, energetic local band that plays Classic Rock n Roll, Blues and Funk. 
  10. Blue Angels Blues on the Bay featuring Platinum Premier Band, Sunday, June 4, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Blues on the Bay is a concert series held at the Hunter Amphitheater at Community Maritime Park. Bring lawn chairs and snacks! The Platinum Premier Band is a local favorite that plays Motown, Jazz, Blues, Pop & More.
