With a 20 year history in Pensacola and a nearly 50 year history across the U.S., it’s no secret that The Melting Pot offers a special, unique and delicious dining experience.
Recently, the Pensacola location has made some upgrades and changes that not only honor our local area, but also offer a more laid back experience for those wanting some savory and sweet fondue, without the special occasion.
So what’s changed? The dining room is now decked out in beautiful black and white photos of iconic Pensacola locations. You’ll be surrounded by the Pensacola Light House, The Blue Angels and Historic Fort Pickens while you dine around pots of bubbling cheeses and chocolates.
You’ll also notice a new open bar concept immediately on walking in with bar seating, high tops and tables lining the windows. The area offers a more laid back and casual feel with the same appetizing options and entertaining dining style.
From start to finish, we enjoyed a charcuterie board, Bacon Mac and Cheese Fondue and Lavender Blueberry White Chocolate Fondue accompanied by the perfect dipping options and some signature cocktails like the Passion Paloma, Cold Brew Martini and Whipped Sunshine Lemonade.
Both the Bacon Mac & Cheese Fondue and the Lavender Blueberry White Chocolate Fondue are only available on Wednesday nights on their ‘Best Fondue Friends Forever’ Menu, a special 3-course menu made for you and your besties!
On par with the food was the staff. They went out of their way to answer questions, explain menu items and make sure we had a lovely evening.
No stranger to Florida, the first ever Melting Pot opened in April of 1975 in Maitland, Fla., just outside of Orlando. The concept, ambiance and food quickly caught on and The Melting Pot began franchising into other Florida cities and eventually across the entire U.S.
We were pleasantly surprised by the local feel of the newly designed Pensacola location and reminded even ‘chain’ restaurants are employed by our community and neighbors and we were happy to support them.
Thank you for a delicious, melty cheesy and candy-coated dinner — we can’t wait for the Pensacola community and visitors to experience your new digs.
