11 Locally Owned Places to Shop for Father’s Day

Go beyond the tie and get Dad something really cool this year.

Here is a list of 11 locally owned shops to shop for Father’s Day to make sure your Dad gets the coolest present for being the best Dad around.


1. For the serious fisherman, head to Outcast Bait & Tackle at 3520 Barrancas Avenue in west Pensacola. Outcast is Pensacola’s Yeti headquarters and a fisherman‘s one stop shop. They sell rod and reel combos, fishing sunglasses from brands like Costa and Smith, apparel, rigs, crab traps, and even sunscreen. Don’t be intimidated to shop, just tell them you’re there for a gift and they will fix you up!

2. For the runner, you’ll find the widest selection of gear at Running Wild, located at 3012 East Cervantes in East Pensacola Heights. Vuori, Rabbit, Brooks, and Glyder are some of the popular apparel brands. Running Wild stocks a wide selection of shoes and accessories for every level of runner from marathoner to novice.

3.  For the recreational Dad, Coastal Paddle Company in the Publix Shopping Center in Gulf Breeze proper is a specialty outfitter selling brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Vuori, Free Fly, Southern Tide and much more. There are great hats, Yolo boards, Patagonia duffel bags and belts, and a wide selection of apparel.

4. For the cook or the foodie, The Kitchenry in the Bodacious Shops has an assortment of fun gadgets and tools, plus specialty cheeses, wines, oils & vinegars, and classes to equip Dad for the kitchen or the grill. Located at 407 S. Palafox St. C.

5. For the musician, Leitz Music at 1921 Creighton Road sells several brands and styles of guitars from brands like Fender and Gibson. They also sell drum kits, harmonicas, ukuleles, and all sorts of accessories from tuners, picks, bags, speakers, and so much more. They are incredibly nice and very helpful.

6 and 7. For the surf and skate Dads, Waterboyz and Innerlight both carry cool apparel, t-shirts, hats, board shorts, surf boards, sunglasses, and accessories. Waterboyz is at 380 N. 9th Avenue in Pensacola and Innerlight is at 203 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Gulf Breeze.

8. For the all-around Dad, Pensacola Hardware is a Mr. Fixit, Grill-It, Cool-It, Boil-It Dad paradise. Set Dad up with a shrimp boil kit or a new American flag. There’s a variety of grills, SEC merch, cast iron cookware, and traditional hardware supply. Located at 20 East Gregory.

9. For the cycling Dads, Cycle Sports of Pensacola is one of several quality bike shops in the city. There are tons of accessories as well as traditional bikes and electric ones! Brands like Cannondale, Specialized, and more. Cycle Sports is at 2125 N. Palafox.

10. For the record collector, Revolver Records at 2050 N. 12th is a great place to find a hidden gem on vinyl. Let Eric help you find the perfect records to add to your Dad’s collection. Grab a pizza from East Hill and some cookies from J’s Bakery, both next door and your Father’s Day is complete.

11. For the sophisticated father, Don Alan’s is the spot. Don Alan’s is an upscale men’s store, but there are accessories in many price points. In addition to custom suiting, they have brands like Peter Millar and Johnnie-O for casual wear. Don Alan’s is at 401 S. Palafox.
