Push For Avery

Our goal at Local Pulse Pensacola is to create and share good news. But what is there good to say when a child dies? It’s hard to find any words at all.

On Wednesday, April 7, 11-year-old Avery Stark of Pensacola, died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. Avery loved skateboarding and especially loved skating at Waterboyz.

To honor him and his favorite thing, this Saturday, April 22 from 5 p.m. until close, Waterboyz will host a celebration of Avery Stark’s life.

Many have asked for ways to honor Avery’s life and love of skateboarding, so Waterboyz will be selling limited edition t-shirts with the graphic used in this story. They will also have a silent auction during the celebration, which will include stunning pieces from Pensacola Vibes, Dano Dunn, and Ashton Howard.

All proceeds from the shirt sales and silent auction will be given directly to the Stark Family.

With live music from @gavinsoutherland, free skatepark admission all day, as well as a skate jam with the WBZ Skate Team, Waterboyz invites all who loved him and skateboarding to join us in celebrating all things Avery Stark.

A friend of the family created a Go Fund Me account to assist the family with any bereavement needs. That account is located here.
