Down here on the Gulf Coast, we turn everything into a party! Even throwin’ dead fish.

Next weekend April 28 and 30, The Interstate Mullet Toss & Gulf Coast Greatest Beach Party will take place at the Flora-Bama. With tons of live music and a big ole beach party, it should be a ton of fun.

Those who participate in the Mullet Toss will throw a dead mullet over the state line of Florida and Alabama to see who gets the farthest.

So What is a Mullet Toss?

The Mullet Toss consists of individuals on the beach throwing a mullet, from a 10-foot circle in Florida across the state line into Alabama. Not to mention a great excuse to throw a weekend-long party, with lots of fun activities, and great music all while helping raise money for our local community!

For $20.00 you can throw the mullet and get a commemorative Interstate Mullet Toss t-shirt. (Please Note: For 2X & 3X sized shirts the cost is $25.)

Here is the schedule:

Friday – Sunday:

Kids (10 am-Noon)

Kids Awards (2 pm)

Adults (Noon – 4 pm)

Owners & Celebrity Toss (4 pm daily)

Adult Awards (4:30 pm daily)

All funds raised from tossing mullets will go toward helping our local surrounding communities with drug & alcohol addictions.

Awards will be given in all age categories, male and female.

All fish are then given to Alligator Alley or the Gulf Coast Zoo for their Alligators!
