The Super Bowl of Super Bowl Commercials

A walk down super bowl commercial lane and a "naked" sneak peek of an ad for Super Bowl LVII.

There are those who watch the Super Bowl for the football and those that watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. Okay, really everyone watches the Super Bowl for the commercials, even if they’re also there for football.

Remember the “Mean” Joe Greene ad for Coca-Cola? He had a Coke and smiled, and it turns out “Mean” Joe wasn’t so mean after all.

Recall another ad when Michael Jordan and Larry Bird squared off in a game of horse for a McDonald’s Big Mac. Did you know that’s when the famous phrase “nothing but net,” launched in popularity? Middle school basketball pickup games were changed forever.

Of course, the Budweiser Clydesdale horses were made famous in their Super Bowl ads. Who didn’t shed a tear when the Clydesdales bowed in front of the Manhattan skyline after the 10th anniversary of 9/11?

Wendy’s “Where’s the beef,”; Betty White for Snickers (rest in Comedy Club Heaven Queen Betty), Drake from State Farm, and Sorta Greg at the Sorta Pharmacy are just the tip of the iceberg on great commercials that leave you with a memory and an earworm.

So, Coca-Cola made us smile, but can avocados make it better?  Avocados from Mexico make it better (and naked) in their pre-released Super Bowl 2023 ad you can see here.

Before the big game, head over to Pensacola farmer’s market, The Farm, 6404 Mobile Hwy, for some Super Bowl groceries and especially some naked avocados.

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII this Sunday, February 12 at 5:30 p.m. on Fox.
