If you’ve been downtown the last few weekends and wondered if you’d fallen down the rabbit hole…you DID! Costumed Alice in Wonderland enthusiasts scattered everywhere.
Just like Alice, I’m very curious about the things I encounter and was excited to learn about a new fun thing happening in cities all over the United States.
The escape-room style of adventure is hosted by CluedUpp games. Fearing I’d missed out on all the fun, I was thrilled to learn another fun experience is only one week away when Pensacola is a different hue with a new Smurf-themed adventure. Like Papa Smurf once said, “It doesn’t matter where you come from, it only matters who you choose to be.” And next weekend, you can choose to be blue!
On Saturday, February 11, 2023, gather friends, and neighbors, or go solo to solve puzzles and complete challenges as you compete against the clock to save the Smurfs. According to their site, the event is suitable for both adults and children. Only one ticket is needed per team, admitting up to 6 adults and children under 16 playing for free.
There are prizes for the fastest team, best costumes, dog photos, and many more. Simple costumes are as easy as a blue top and white pants or go all out with ideas from Pinterest and Amazon.
The Smurfs movie described the home of the Smurfs as, “A place that knows no sadness, where even feeling blue is a happy thing.” Did the Smurfs live in Pensacola?
