Featuring 60 Local Artist, Charlotte Mason Printing, and the Band Stormfolk
On Friday, November 18th, from 5–9pm, Gallery Night Pensacola’s theme is “Decades!” We are kicking off the holiday season as that cool autumn air sets in. Show up decked out in your favorite decade’s fashion! What style will you rock—that iconic 1920’s flapper dress, those groovy 60’s bell bottoms, 90’s grunge that “Smells like teen spirit,” or maybe something that holla’s Y2K at ya?!
Gallery Night is an all-ages, community, arts, and culture event held on the third Friday of each month from 5 to 9 p.m. Our unique monthly themes set the tone for each event’s art, performers, musical performance stages, and activities that are sure to please. Our monthly events are made possible by Publix, our excellent community partner.
Check out our extensive art zones, sponsored by T-Mobile and hosting 60 local artisans this month, and their unique creations in open-air tents along the street-side. It’s time to start your holiday shopping!
Gallery Night’s November Featured Artist is Charlotte Mason Print Co. Caitlyn Cooney is the local printing company’s owner and printmaker, working with Tim Bednarczyk, the company’s graphic designer and production artist. Together they create hand-printed goods, including posters, stationery, greeting cards, and other custom work.
Charlotte Mason’s mission is to promote and preserve the letterpress printing process and represent an artistic aspect of Pensacola’s rich history in order to integrate and educate the community on the modern renaissance of classical letterpress. But who is Charlotte Mason, exactly? Join us at November’s event, and stop by our featured artist tent near Palafox and Romana to learn more!
Gallery Night Pensacola tips its hats to the decades by welcoming Stormfolk, a local alternative/folk band, to our Garden Street Main Stage during the month of our “Boost the Jam” Campaign for Giving Tuesday. Come jam with us while Mick Grocholl, Kaylyn Hastings, and Preston Czygan pipe their unique singer/songwriter sounds of folk, bluegrass, rock, and pop through the streets from 6–8 p.m. Find our Youth Music Project Stage, sponsored by Stevenson Klotz, at the corner of Palafox and Government. And just across the way, in front of Artel Gallery, Winterfest will be out with the Grinch. Watch the Grinch’s Christmas tree lighting at 5 p.m., and then catch a ride on the Grinch’s Trolley!
Our event is your last chance to check out Artel Gallery’s 34th Annual Cinco Banderas exhibit! With free entry, you will also discover some of Artel’s finest member artists set up inside! Don’t miss out! Participating downtown bars and restaurants are open and serving guests. Additionally, local shops and galleries will remain open late, providing the opportunity to shop for unique gifts and wares.
Gallery Night Pensacola’s Board of Directors encourages mask usage for those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 or are at high health risk.
