Vascular neurologist Charles DeMello Schutt, MSc, MD, has joined Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart Neurology in Pensacola. Dr. Schutt sees patients in the Medical Office Building at 5153 N. Ninth Ave., Suite 404, in Pensacola. The office is part of The Advanced Brain & Spine Institute at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola.

Dr. Schutt earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed residency training in neurology at the University of South Florida, where he also completed a fellowship in vascular neurology. Dr. Schutt also earned two master of science degrees in medical science, one with a focus on interdisciplinary medical sciences and one with a focus on molecular medicine.

Dr. Schutt has 10 years of experience teaching medical graduate and undergraduate students. He is founder and president of the Pre-Collegiate Anatomy and Physiology program and has served as a special needs social therapist and autism life coach. Dr. Schutt is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
