Featuring A Motorin’ Classic Car And Hotrod Showcase
On Friday, July 15, from 5pm-9pm, Gallery Night Pensacola’s theme is “Motorin’ Car Show!” Gallery Night’s July event will highlight the art of classic and hot-rod cars, plus art, music, and more!
Dozens of local and visiting cars will be on display along Government Street and surrounding Plaza Ferdinand. Bring the family to check out this display of art-on-wheels!
Don’t miss a performance on the Garden Street stage from Thee Auricles, “a multi-genre band of songwriters, vocalists, and producers residing in Pensacola, FL founded by two female super-producers, Mvtha Cvla & Faithe Franklin, backed by guitarist & producer Delta5ive and vocalists Ethan, Tiffany, & Raleigh.”
They are a gumbo mix of live instruments and digital soul, blues, gospel, hip-hop, and R & B. Think of The Roots, OutKast, Silk Sonic, Funkadelic. They are all amazing, and also, The Auricles are definitely their own thing. If you love music, positive vibes, and art, you’ll feel what this creative collective puts into the atmosphere.
Gallery Night’s July Featured Artist is Devin Bonner. Devin is a multidisciplinary artist native to Pensacola, Florida, where he grew up in a family of race car and motorcycle builders, and developed a skill and passion for the automotive lifestyle.
Devin currently works as a graphic designer at EW Bullock Associates, where he designs, creates, and presents creative visual solutions for the agency’s clients. He serves as a board member of both the American Advertising Federation and Pensacola Designers. In his free time, he serves as an assistant professor for the metalworking and fabrication department of the Pensacola State engineering program, where he teaches laser operation, bead rolling, and illustrator techniques.
Each Gallery Night event features more than 40 local artists displaying their one-of-a-kind creations in open-air tents lining the streets. Enjoy a mini art zone in front of Artel Gallery with Artel member artists, and a Palafox mini-market on Government Street. Gallery Night Art Zones are sponsored by T-Mobile.
Participating downtown bars and restaurants are open and serving guests. Local shops and galleries will be open late and provide event patrons a chance to shop for unique gifts and wares.
Each Gallery Night Pensacola event’s special themes set the tone for the performers, art, musical performance stages, and activities that are sure to please. Gallery Night is an all-ages community arts and culture event that happens on the third Friday of each month from 5-9 p.m.
