Several roads in downtown Pensacola will experience temporary intersection closures and lane closures on Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24 for the City of Pensacola and Emerald Coast Utilities Authority to test and conduct inspections of the stormwater system and sanitary sewer lines.
Traffic will be detoured in the closure areas. The public’s patience is appreciated as the work is completed.
In addition to placing detour signs in the area, City of Pensacola staff will be on site to provide detour directions as needed.
Intersection and lane closures will be in place in the following areas from approximately 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.:
- Thursday, June 23:

- Periodic lane closures will be in effect along West Government Street, South Spring Street and South Reus Street.
- The intersection of West Zarragossa Street and South Reus Street will be closed to east and westbound traffic. Traffic along West Zarragossa Street will be detoured to De Villiers Street.

- Friday, June 24:

- Periodic lane closures will be in effect along South Spring Street and South Baylen Street.
- The intersection of Fred Levin Way (Zaragoza Street) and South Baylen Street will be closed to east and westbound traffic. Traffic along Fred Levin Way will be detoured to South Palafox Street.
