About the Award-winning Brews

Old City Tract (Munich Dunkel): This traditional dark lager was brewed with barley from Riverbend Malt House (Asheville, NC), and boasts smooth, rich flavors of caramel, toasted bread, and molasses. Balanced, brilliantly clear, and highly drinkable. [ABV: 6%] Available at The Well taproom and cocktail lounge.

Vienna Lager: This now two-time silver-medal winning [2020 Best in Florida Beer!] is our take on the classic European amber lager. Our Vienna lager is brewed with a handful of German malts that lends a toasty, refined malt complexity and finishes clean and crisp. ⁣[5.4%] Available at Perfect Plain Brewing Co.

About the U.S. Open Beer Championship

The U.S. Open Beer Championship judges more beer styles than any other competition in the world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, judging was held in both the U.S. and Canada. The main U.S. judging was held at the new U.S. Open Event Center in Oxford, Ohio. The U.S. Open became the first beer competition to be held in its own venue which is a 6000 square foot Amish pole barn located on a small farm. Judging in the U.S. Open Beer Championships is blind; judges know only the categories, not the names or locations of beers being judged.
