Fleur de Pensacola announces a virtual auction event to benefit Bridging the Gap & Montclair Elementary School. Bridging the Gap is a ministry that serves our neighbors without homes every Thursday evening under the Lee Street bridge. They serve rain or shine, and have continued serving the most vulnerable in our community throughout the Pandemic. The auction proceeds will also benefit Montclair Elementary, which is a safe haven for children that often struggle with poverty and traumatic lives.
In a collaboration with Pamela Nichols Fine Art, Jade Tree Succulents, and Fleur de Pensacola, bidders in the virtual auction will be able to win original oil paintings, a beautiful succulent creation, and a floral arrangement customized to the winner. The oil paintings will depict the Bridging the Gap ministry, celebrating the two women who serve our neighbors without homes.
Agape is a Greek word from scripture that means the love of God for all, as well as the human reciprocal love for God. Agape love is the highest form of love, and Fleur de Pensacola hopes to use this event to show love and compassion to those in need in our community. In a global pandemic, the most vulnerable need our agape love more than ever, and this event aims to serve our community with grace and compassion.
Bidding starts November 30, 2021 and will end December 14, 2021. The items will make wonderful holiday gifts. Winner must either be able to pick up items in Pensacola, or shipping will be available for the oil paintings only. Bidders must be able to pick up the other items in Pensacola.
