First City Art Center to host “Upcycled Art Bazaar” on May 29th

The First City Art Center’s UPCYCLED ART BAZAAR event will take place on Saturday, May 29th, from 10am to 3pm at 1060 N. Guillemard St.

This event is all about artistically recycling, upcycling, and repurposing goods/materials. There will be secondhand art supplies, artwork and antiques for sale, local vendors who make work with upcycled or recycled materials, as well as local non-profits who share the desire to encourage sustainability. The event will also include an upcycling themed kids activity and game area.

All event proceeds benefit FCAC’s Youth Art Program Scholarship Fund. There will be a $10 suggested donation at the door, or a donation of non-perishables for Manna Food Pantry. Those who donate or bring a bag of food donations will get a raffle ticket.

Gallery 1060 will be open featuring their latest show “Urban Remix,” with the pieces available for purchase.

Masks are strongly suggested to be worn on First City Art Center’s campus. For more information, visit www.FirstCityArt.org, or call 850-429-1222.
